Welcome to Meutica. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the website at meutica.coand the Meutica platform (collectively, the "Service"), operated by Meutica ("we," "us," or "our").

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service.

If you are under 18, you may use the Service only with the permission of a parent or legal guardian who has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

2. Accounts

You sign in using Google OAuth via Firebase Authentication. You are responsible for securing your Google account and for all activity under your Meutica account.

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate information (your Google profile name and email);
  • Not create accounts for the purpose of abusing the Service or other users;
  • Notify us if you become aware of unauthorized use of your account.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

3. User Roles

When you first sign in, you select a role:

  • Teacher — you can upload material, generate questions, create tests, manage batches, and view student analytics.
  • Student — you can take tests, view your performance analytics, and join batches.

You are responsible for the actions you take within your assigned role.

4. Content You Upload

You retain ownership of all material you upload to the Service (documents, text, images). By uploading content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process that content to generate questions and operate the Service.

You represent that:

  • You have the right to upload and use the content;
  • The content does not infringe any third party's intellectual property or other rights;
  • The content does not contain malware, viruses, or harmful code.

We process uploaded files in memory for question generation and do not permanently store them on our servers. Pasted text may be retained in our database.

5. Generated Content

Questions, analytics, and other outputs generated by the Service from your uploaded material are provided for your use within the platform. As between you and Meutica, Meutica does not claim ownership of generated content produced from material you submit, except for any rights necessary to operate and provide the Service.

Generated content is produced by AI and may contain errors, including incorrect answers, malformed notation, or factual inaccuracies. You are responsible for reviewing all generated content before using it with students.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service to harass, abuse, or harm others;
  • Upload content that is illegal, obscene, defamatory, or violates any law;
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other accounts, or our systems;
  • Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to access the Service without our written permission;
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure;
  • Circumvent usage quotas, rate limits, or access controls;
  • Resell, sublicense, or commercially redistribute the Service without our written consent;
  • Impersonate another person or entity.

7. Intellectual Property

Meutica owns the Service, including its design, code, branding, and documentation, and it is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to use our trademarks, logos, or brand elements.

8. Third-Party Services

The Service relies on third-party providers to operate certain functionality, including authentication services, AI-powered content generation, and font delivery.

These providers may process information or provide technical functionality necessary to operate the Service. Our use of third-party providers and our handling of personal information are described further in our Privacy Policy.

9. Availability and Modifications

We strive to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, with or without notice.

We may update features, quotas, pricing tiers, or supported file formats. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.

10. Pricing and Payments

The Service currently offers a free tier. Paid plans (Pro, Enterprise) are not yet available and are listed for informational purposes. When paid plans launch, we will communicate pricing, payment terms, and billing details separately. No charges will be made without your explicit consent.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that:

  • The Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free;
  • AI-generated content will be accurate, complete, or free of errors;
  • The Service will meet your specific requirements.

12. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MEUTICA AND ITS FOUNDERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF DATA, REVENUE, OR PROFITS, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

Our total liability for any claim arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us (if any) in the twelve months preceding the claim.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Meutica and its founders, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:

  • Your use of the Service;
  • Your violation of these Terms;
  • Your violation of any third party's rights;
  • Content you upload to the Service.

14. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if continued access poses a risk to the Service or other users.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including disclaimers, limitations of liability, and indemnification) will survive.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page with a revised "Effective Date." Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
